BATA (Amendment of First And Fifth Schedules) Order 2011 

 
Advanced generation lentiviral vectors have been excluded form the first schedule of the BATA and downgraded to the fourth schedule while HT-2 Toxin, a metabolite of T-2 toxin, was included in the fifth schedule.

The current list of biological agent and toxins have been amended to reflect the changes a stipulated in the BATA (Amendment of First and Fifth Schedules) Order 2011.

Biosafety Quality Improvement Forum

 
The first "Biosafety Quality Improvement Forum (BQIF)" will be held on the 10 October 2011 at the Resorts World Convention Centre. It will be held as part of the Workplace Safety and Health track of the 8th Healthcare Quality Improvement Conference 2011. The forum features experienced biosafety professionals speaking on the challenges encountered in biosafety.

Registration is free and open until 19 September 2011. However, please note that registration is limited as well as the seats to the workshops. Please register early as this is a widely attended event.
